How does it work?
As a cryptocurrency, Lisk is almost similar to Bitcoin or Ethereum. The transaction is validated using Delegated Proof of Stake, and after the approval, the receiver receives the amount.
As a DAPPS platform, Lisk works by providing natural means to developers to create decentralised apps, utilising the blockchain mechanism underneath. It also works as a DEX (Decentralised Exchange) where users can freely trade cryptocurrencies without any central authority.
Lisk (LSK): Unique features
Lisk sidechains allow us to implement various functions into the Lisk main network simply as Blockchain Applications. This not only makes single features optional, but it will also keep the Lisk mainchain streamlined in comparison to other crypto-currencies. SDK (Software Development Kit) allows developers to quickly build their decentralised applications on Lisk network and test it in a sandbox. With future of DAPPS being extremely positive, Lisk is a significant stakeholder in the future. Lisk offers fully Decentralised Exchange where users can freely trade their digital assets (like cryptocurrencies) with each other without any middleman or a central exchange. Lisk also works as a repository of all the DAPPS but in a decentralised way. Lisk offers fast transaction between two users, directly. This peer to peer operation takes 10 seconds to transfer funds globally, against minimal charges.
